Accepting bribes and cash in hand / corrupt councils sell off the land,
Property agents take their slice / in return for something nice,
Crossing the planning departments hands, / pushing through contractual plans,
Without proper consultation / short term solutions for a throw away nation..

Factories, workhouses, industrial sites,
Completely flattened overnight,
Bulldozed parks, woodland, trees,
Destroying the communities..
Verse 2.
Their solution is to build more flats / cram the people in like rats,
Government put up taxes though / hoping money stems the flow,
The city’s bursting at the seams / local authorities use any means,
